Edson, based in Brazil, brings 30 years of professional experience across strategy consulting, corporate venture capital and private equity. Since 2017 he has advised owners of family businesses, founders and investment managers, working with them as a consultant, adviser and board member.

In 2003, Edson joined the corporate venture capital and private equity arm of Votorantim Group, one of Brazil's largest family-owned conglomerates, where he played a key role in shaping portfolio strategy, led investments and held several executive roles in the invested companies. He later led the investment team of the Private Equity Group at Pátria Investimentos, Brazil's leading alternative investment firm, building relationships and negotiating directly with the owners of family businesses.

Edson began his career in 1997 at The Boston Consulting Group in Brazil, where he worked alongside Acanthite Founding Partner Robert Davies.

He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BA in Business Administration from EAESP-FGV in São Paulo.
