Roland, based in Latin America, retired in 2014 from The Boston Consulting Group as a Senior Partner and Managing Director after 25 years with the firm. He set up and ran the firm’s Mexican practice for more than a decade before leading the Latin America region. 

His consulting work spanned multiple countries and industries, with a special focus on matters relating to strategic direction, organisational alignment, and corporate governance. A number of his Mexican clients were family owned, and several were led by members of the owner group. 

Roland continues to advise a select group of businesses and families, splitting his time between Boards, entrepreneurial activities, and community & pro-bono work. 

Roland grew up between Europe and South America. He has an MBA from INSEAD and is fluent in Spanish, German, French, and English, and is proficient in Portuguese, Dutch, and Italian.
